When you accidentally delete a single message or connect to your Yahoo email account and find all your empty email folders, you do not lose everything. You can retrieve the deleted email from the Recycle Bin folder or have Yahoo restore your email account to a previous state to retrieve the missing mails, even deleted messages from the Recycle Bin, but you need to be notified.

Act quickly to recover lost Yahoo mail

If you act quickly, you may be able to restore your mailbox to a previous state from a backup by recovering your lost messages if you accidentally emptied the Recycle Bin folder containing an important or missing Yahoo Mail email.

You will get the most success recovering mail if you notice that you have deleted an important mail immediately. When you delete an email, it is moved to the Trash folder where it is located until the folder is emptied. You can retrieve a message quickly while it is in your Yahoo Mail Trash folder. To retrieve a message in Yahoo Mail:

1. Click the Trash folder in Yahoo Mail. You'll see it in the navigation pane on the left side of Yahoo's email screen.
2. Select the emails you want to move to retrieve them.
3. Click the Restore button in the Inbox to transfer them from the trash to the inbox.
