Dr. Zelmanovich completed her undergraduate education at Binghamton University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychobiology. Dr.Zelmanovich then went on to earn her medical doctorate from Sackler School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center with distinction . Dr. Zelmanovich has been in active in clinical research and has worked as a researcher at the New York University Medical Center studying Ovarian Cancer cells and how they interact with their environment.
Her publications include “Recombinant alpha 2NC1 domain inhibits tumor cell-extracellular matrix interactions, induces cellular senescence and inhibits tumor growth in vivo” and “Inhibition of HU177 cryptic epitope within collagen enhances the antiproliferative effects of ionizing radiation”.
She is a member of the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologist, the American Medical Association, American Women’s Medical Association, American Associate of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is also a member of the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction.
