    When Lego’s long term brand partner of 50 years, Shell, decided to expand oil drilling to the melting Arctic, Lego had a choice to make. As doing this would pose a huge risk to Arctic ecosystems. Lego could either take the money, turn a blind eye and continue the lucrative business partnership. Or it could make a stand to fight for what it right.

    Donate to a Cause

    Donating to a cause is another way of getting your brand noticed. Through shared interest and concern, brands can connect with their customers on a much deeper level. Reaching out to them in non-superficial ways. Such as this campaign by Yoox and its partnership with swimwear brand We Are Handsome.

    The unique collection raises awareness of global warming and the consequences suffered by World Wonder such as the Great Barrier Reef. The swimwear range will donate a percentage of proceeds to the Great Barrier Reef Foundation.

    Be Transparent

    Transparency is a great way of gaining trust with customers. Particularly in the food industry where shoppers are keen to know more about responsible sourcing of fish and meat. This Waitrose campaign opens up about how and where their fish are caught, giving customers confidence in their purchases.
