5 Tips for a Bride planning her own wedding

    21 November 2019

    1. Find Inspiration and take it on onboard

With so many references of inspiration out there to choose from, if you find the right one it can be an overwhelming experience. Look for a few mediums that suit your taste the best, whether it’s bridal magazines, Pinterest, Instagram and start examining. Get a good sense of the style you like and translate it with your creativity into something you can show your vendors. Either create a board on Pinterest or even better do some old-fashioned paper cutting and pasting.

    2. Be organized

Make checklists, spreadsheets or if you like to write things down then make a diary. Be it anything, what matters is you need to have all your budgets, number, thoughts in one place in an organized way so that you have a clear view of what you need. Also, there are some amazing apps and programs out there that can help you organize your wedding.

    3. Make a budget, stick to it

Your budget should be one of the first few things to tackle since it will be the driving force for almost all your wedding-related decisions. Chat with your family members and see how much they are comfortable spending. It’s time to look at your budgets if you’re paying the bill yourself. And once you find that magic number, don’t think too much and stick to it.

    4. Don’t Rush into decisions

It can be alluring to book the first luxury wedding planner or photographer you interact with, but hold on for a second and have a look at all your options before making any quick decisions.

    5. Create a Guest List

This one largely depends on the venue and budget and that’s exactly why it can be a little nerve-racking process. To make it a little easier, sit down with your family and fiance to make a wish list of guests. Chances are probably you’ll have to make some cuts. Put a thought on decisions like whether children would be coming and who will be assigned a plus-one.
