Remove and Lay

Before cleaning your mats, you need to remove the retention hooks from each hole of your floor mats. After removing your mats from the car, you need to shake the floor mats as it will be easy for you to get rid of the dust particles. You can also use a water hose to clean the mats.

Use APC

Once you are done with removing the dust particles then you need to spray APC (All Purpose Cleaner). After using APC let it seat down for a couple of hours. If you don’t have APC, you can also use liquid detergent or dish soap. Make sure that you don’t use any heavy degreasers or any other strong liquid detergent because you will be hampering your WeatherTech quality. Keep this in your mind that chemical contamination, vehicle accidents or incorrect installation are not applicable to your warranty list. The best way to clean your floor mats is by using floor mat cleaner. This cleaner contains a phosphate-free formula and biodegradable ingredients.

Scrub It

You need to take 2 tablespoons of dish detergent which is strong enough to get your job done right and mild enough to protect your floor mats from damaging. After this, you should use a soft cleaning brush so that you can scrub all the sides properly. Make sure that you don’t scrub so hard and continue this until the dirt is removed.

Rinse and Repeat

After doing this above method, all you have to do is using a high-pressure nozzle so that you can clean it properly. Make sure that you wash it properly so that no soap or detergent is remaining. If you notice that some stain is still present then try to remove it.

Dry Up

After following these above procedures, you need to dry your floor mats. Make sure that you dry it completely before installing. Don’t forget to reattach hooks so that it won’t slip away.
