    ERAWAN NATIONAL PARK

Erawan National park is famous for its waterfall series and considered as one of the best holiday destinations in Thailand. Erawan National park is a marvelous paradise that is located in the northwest of Bangkok in Kanchanaburi.     RIVER KAWAI – River Kawai is a historical place known as the Death Railway. It is located at the Myanmar border, Kanchanaburi constructed during World War II by Japan. Japan build this gigantic meter-gauge railway line from Ban Pong, Thailand to Thanbyuzayat, Burma. This 250-mile line passes through the scenic three Pagodas pass and was meant to transport cargo daily to India, to back up their planned attack on India. Bridge on the River Kawai was constructed within a year (1942) by POWs and Asian slaves in unfavorable conditions. At the nearby Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, around 7000 POWs lost their lives and buried. When it was featured in movies and books, The Bridge River Kawai became famous all over the world. 

    Now the Bridge River Kawai is one of the best tourist destinations in Thailand and renowned across the globe for its famous WWII landmarks.


    ELEPHANT NATURE PARK – Elephant Nature Park is one of the choicest tourist destinations for nature lovers. It is an elephant sanctuary that is located around 60km outside of Chiang Mai City North Thailand. The Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is just 1.5-hour drive away from Chiang Mai. You can visit the elephant park at two different times in a day. This Elephant rescue and rehabilitation center is home for rescued elephants. The morning visit starts from 6:30 am to 12:30 pm and the afternoon visit takes place from 13:30 to 18:30 pm. Travel agencies provide options of a one-day visit, a half day visit, or two days visit with the elephants. Elephants are the main draw of this elephant park. It is also a home to dogs and cats that have been rescued from around the country.

    AYUTTHAYA - Thailand was known as “Siam” before 1939. Ayutthaya was the capital of the Siam from 1350 to 1767. Now this empire is ruined, the remnants of it are still scattered there. Ayutthaya historical park became a UNESCO world heritage site in 1991. It is located just a couple hours north of Bangkok and its best to hire a bike or cycle for exploring this place. 


    The Buddhist temple of Wat Maha That is probably the most popular of the ruins, thanks to several Buddha statues that are still in existence. 


    One, in particular, appears on social media frequently because the body is engulfed by tree roots, leaving only the head to be seen.
