How to pitch the Content Marketing Ideas Successfully?

You know how they say,  a good beginning with an idea is half work done itself?

But in the corporate advertisement industry, this is not quite true. Because we believe for creative people like us find it no hard to come up with an idea or a product launch a content campaign. But what we find more challenging or big task than coming up with an idea is pitching it to the clients or even to the boss. 


Leave about ideas that might get accepted sooner but the content marketing ideas, oh God help! Since you can’t show the instant results in the content marketing field, for example,  even though you are getting good traffic on your website it is going to take a couple of months to change the Google ranking of your website. 


In this case, what option you are left only is pitch your plan with utmost perfection and take every bit of concerns in considerations. 


 So what’s the mastermind plan to pitch the exclusive idea successfully to the client, let’s find out.

 

  1. Confidence: The first and the far most important thing is  “The Confidence”. It matters with what confidence you are pitching your idea. It really matters that you should trust your plan before you ask people to trust it will work.


 If you do believe your idea of the plan/strategy will work then that confidence will totally reflect through your confidence. Do you believe your Content Marketing Strategy enough to make your client trust it? Got an answer?


  1. Don’t only Pitch the idea, ‘Preach the idea!’ : You know what they say about the first look or first impression? So the looks, the way you present the content or the strategy or the way you put your idea in front of people will always be going to matter. And what else matters is you should be 100% prepared with your idea and presentation and the points you going to put on the table.  


Pitching the content is a mechanical work of reading out the presentation points. But preaching the idea would involve the self-belief that the idea which you are convincing people about is really a good idea or a trustworthy strategy. 


  1. Bring stats: So no matter how much you explain orally, bringing the stats on the table will change the whole game.  Put the real data and analysis, the success rate of the strategy will make a positive impact and will help you make your point more clear.


  1. Examples will make it easy: Put as many examples as you can to support your idea. The examples are strong proof that your idea will work out well in the real world. 


Also explaining with examples will help to give a clearer understanding to people to know and imagine the idea or content strategy. 


  1. Explain good enough: Go in details while explaining, without assuming anything in prior. 


Make sure you share every part of the process of the content campaign/ content strategy and every step involved in executing your idea, leaving no room for queries.


  1. Accept the alterations: If the client or boss have suggestions and if they are practical and implemental enough in your strategy, then try and implement it. 


That new perspective or just that one suggestion might completely make it something different than your original idea but what’s wrong in trying it out?


Also, being open to suggestions will help you get a new angle to look at things and could help you better next time.
