How to set up Fast-mail your Android phone?

    10 April 2019

Did you know: FastMail has an excellent Android app which many of our users prefer to other mail apps. See our mobile app help for more details.

Android apps need their own app password to access your information. If you use your normal password or your FastMail two-step verification password on an external account, syncing to an external service won't work and you will see a password error.

Email – Mail (default mail application in Android 5.x Lollipop and Android 6.x Marshmallow) Email – Mail (native mail application, available in Android 4.x and earlier)

    Set up your calendar

Android does not support CalDAV natively, however you can easily add support by installing a CalDAV sync adapter. We have tested and recommend CalDAV-Sync, which is approximately $3. Once you have added your account in CalDAV-Sync, you can use the native Android calendar or any other calendar app and the changes will sync with FastMail.

You will need to use an app password when configuring the app.

After using above FastMail server settings for Fastmail and on other email applications, you’ll be able to set up or synchronize your Fastmail on other email apps.
