Running a small ice cream shop has taught me a lot about customer habits. One of the biggest things I’ve learned is this: people notice the little things. Sure, the taste matters a lot. But the look and feel of your product? That’s what makes people come back again and again.
When I first started serving ice cream, we didn’t think much about how it looked. We just focused on the flavor and texture. But over time, I noticed how customers reacted to presentation. A colorful napkin, a creative menu, or even a fun name for a new flavor would get attention. Then we tried custom cone sleeves. That’s when things started to change in a big way.
At one point, we were experimenting with seasonal themes. For a summer promotion, we had sleeves with sunshine graphics and cool beach vibes. The reactions were amazing. People smiled more, took photos, and talked about it with friends. Eventually, we even added some for holidays and events. Customers loved those little extras and often bought gift cards as surprise treats for others.
