A good personal trainer can help you to reach your health and fitness goals. They will do this by helping you to first set a SMART goal. This stands for specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, timing. It's basically a way of setting a realistic goal and coming up with a plan on how to get there.
Once they have helped you to work out your goals, you're half way there. The hardest thing for most clients is to actually work out what they want to achieve!
A good personal trainer will then come up with a specific training and nutritional plan which works for you. Cookie cutter plans won't work. What works for me might not work for you.
The final thing a good personal trainer will do is to measure your success along the way. If your plan is not working then this needs to be addressed and adapted so it works for you.
Your trainer should be there for you 24/7 not just the in the hour session...
