Firstly, let’s look at how you can save yourself the agony. To prevent the effects of a hangover which are mostly due to dehydration, drink as much water as possible before going to sleep. This will also assist the body in getting purged of the alcohol in your system. Taking water every once in a while during your drinking marathon can also stop hangover from occurring the next day.
Fruit juice contains fructose, a form of sugar that helps the body burn alcohol faster that helps accelerate the removal of remaining alcohol in your body. So drinking a large glass of apple juice or tomato juice flushes out alcohol from your body thus helping you recover from a hangover faster. In addition, fruit juices contain high levels of vitamins and nutrients that help to replace the body's energy and expel alcohol toxins from the body faster.
To get you back to tip top shape as quickly as possible, I have outlined a few simple tips to get you going and have split it into two categories for your convenience: Binge drinking and eating.
I cannot stress to you how good water is for you. For preventive measures against hangovers the next day, drink at least 2 glasses of water before you go to bed. As alcohol dehydrates your body's system, rehydrating it can very effectively counteract the effects of alcohol.
Similar to above, sport drinks are high in electrolytes which can help to not only replenish your electrolytes, but to rehydrate your body as well. Drink it before you go to bed and the morning after if you're not feeling in top shape!
If you don't have any sports drinks, lemon water is a great healthy alternative for a hangover cure. Get some warm water and squeeze at least half a lemon into it. Lemon is great for you as it activates your liver functions, releasing and flushing out your toxins and cleansing your insides.
