We had very specific housing preferences. Washington, DC is a place where the adage "you get what you pay for" is very true, even though Capitol Hill (which is further from the Capitol) may have more affordable housing options.
Capitol Hill Stay chose to purchase modest historic buildings or DC short-term furnished apartments for their location and attractiveness. Our goal is to provide a different option from the typical dull corporate housing and Extended stay Washington, DC.
The majority of them have various architectural styles and were built between 1840 and 1890. You wouldn't be able to really immerse yourself in the neighborhood if it were a large modern high-rise, but the smaller building size does. One to five blocks separate each Capitol Hill Stay unit from the US Capitol. This place is very sought-after. Two metro stations, numerous eateries, stores, and amenities can all be reached on foot in ten minutes. A highly sought-after "destination" neighbourhood is Capitol Hill.
Of course, the Capitol building and the National Mall make Capitol Hill famous around the world. But it's also a coveted neighbourhood in and of itself. It so happens to be located precisely in the geographic heart of Washington, DC's temporary housing.
