Yaskawa decided to customize one of their variable speed drives for pumps – the iQ Pump 1000. The iQ1000 pump takes a large volume of programming work and streamlines it into an easy to use interface.

All horizontal split case and vertical inline fire pumps have what’s called packing that keeps the water in the pump and allows the shaft to spin without the water coming out of the pump at high rates.
