In commemoration of the landmark milestone of the 50th anniversary of the Monaco collection, TAG Heuer has launched five new Monaco collections this year, inspired by the design style of each decade since the original watch was introduced in 1969 . The fifth new Monaco series watch, and the last watch launched by the series this year, was unveiled at the conference held in Shanghai. The first limited edition watch in the series was inspired from 1969 to 1979 and was released during the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix in May this year; the second limited edition watch inherited from 1979 to 1989. The design style was launched in Le Mans, France in June. The third limited edition watch was inspired by the 1990s and debuted in New York in July. Not long ago, the fourth limited edition watch with the fashion style of the early millennium was also gloriously released at an event in Tokyo in September, which has received international acclaim.
The 1:1 replica TAG Heuer Monaco Limited Edition watches are sleek and simple, underscoring the essence of this iconic collection in the last decade (2009-2019) of the last half century. It is a classic watch representative of minimalist style and stylish design. The watch features a black perforated calfskin strap with black lining and grey stitching, a distinctive sandblasted steel case and polished buttons. Anthracite sunray dial with black gold-plated indexes and SuperLuminova® fluorescent coating. The rhodium-plated small dial also presents a brilliant sunburst effect. To make it more vivid, the small hands and the central seconds hand are bold red, and the dial at 12 o'clock is no exception. The black gold-plated hour and minute hands are coated with a strip of SuperLuminova® fluorescent paint, which significantly improves legibility.
Following the original design, the buttons are on the right side of the case and the polished crown is on the left. This subversive design has given Monaco a unique charm for half a century.
This 2010's style watch is engraved with the "Monaco Heuer" logo and the words "2009-2019 Special Edition" and "One of 169" (one of 169). The stainless steel case back is inspired by the original watch and is made of stainless steel with vertical and round matte finishes. Bounced inside the case is the famous Calibre 11 movement, which is based on the self-winding chronograph movement first shown on the original Monaco series in 1969 and has been modernized and upgraded. The new production is limited to 169 pieces.
