Internal Family Systems Therapy In Calgary

Internal family systems therapy in Calgary at Secure Self Psychology is informed by the idea that people can experience different internal parts with different emotions, needs, and protective responses. One part of you may push for perfection while another feels exhausted from trying to meet those expectations. Another may avoid conflict because it wants to keep you safe. IFS-informed work can provide a way to look at these responses with curiosity rather than criticism. Jessica may incorporate this approach when it fits the client's needs, alongside other therapeutic methods. The process can support greater self-understanding and a more compassionate relationship with oneself.
