Electric Deep Fryers
If you want to deep fry but don't want to heat up your kitchen, an electric deep fryer is the way to go. Electric fryers, unless they are full-sized commercial machines, can't compete with the heat production of propane versions, but they're easy to use and safer because there's no open flame. Electric deep fryers are designed for indoor usage, but can be used outside if stored in a dry area.

Propane Deep Fryers
Most deep fryers used in the great outdoors run on propane from tanks since this fuel source provides more BTUs of heat than an electrical outlet, allowing for the rapid frying of big quantities of food. The portability of propane gas means it may be used for cooking anywhere. Size, shape, number of cooking baskets, and number of burners are all variables among the various propane versions. Some even mimic barbeque grills by having side tables and a hinged cover.
